The Project Manager is responsible for project management (planning, scoping, management, reporting, and delivery) of assigned projects, or the project management of assigned workstreams in a larger program. To be successful the Project Manager will need to build good working relationships with key stakeholders, identify the necessary resources needed to deliver the project objectives, and proactively identify and solve risks and issues that could negatively impact the project.

Common deliverables typically include the project charter, scope definition, requirements documents, work activities, project schedule, risk register, communication plan, resource plan, risk management plan, procurement plans, project budget, quality control plan, status updates, reporting, and tracking. Uses industry recognized/generally accepted PM knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to achieve a project’s stated objectives.


● Leads smaller and/or less complex projects under close to moderate supervision;
● Leads specific workstreams within larger projects under close to moderate supervision from the Program Manager
● Reporting, communications, relationships and sphere of influence typically occur within the team and direct management
● Project cycle of typically less than 1 year
● Projects are typically individual or Inter-organizational (single department); although some projects may affect several business unit(s) or entire company.
● Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers
● Applies PMO standard project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations
● Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration
● Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks
● Reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle or specific phases
● Coordinates the resources necessary to successfully complete the project
● Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures
● Sets and manages stakeholder expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes
● Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures;
● Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation;
● Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status
● Builds relationships with key stakeholders and project resources to drive key decisions and ensure timely project completion

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:
● 3 years plus of experience in related field (i.e. Change management, process improvement, project management,) or academic equivalent training or projects
BS/BA degree in related discipline (i.e. business, marketing, communications, Computer Science)
● Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills
● Strong skills in MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Even better if you have:
● Experience in telecommunications industry
● Ability to travel – up to 15%
● Strong Operations background – Metrics, understanding of cost of delivery, “Lean Operations Management”, Quality Initiatives, Standardization Project Management, Critical Path Methodology, etc.
● Strong to expert skills in MS-Project
● Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communication skills, integrity, sound judgment and decision making ability to all organizational levels. The ability to modify the messaging appropriately to various technical, managerial, and leadership audiences is critical for this position.
● Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
● Flexible and creative problem solver with the ability to think analytically and follow through with complex problems; strong follow-through and ability to implement tasks
● Team player with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic, ability to meet or exceed deadlines, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to organize and prioritize activities
