What you’ll be doing...

As a Lead Transition Specialist you will be responsible for providing project management and technical program reporting activities to a significant customer(s). You will plan, guide and oversee project office management related activities and will manage in-flight projects to completion to deliver the services within the defined scope. You will be the voice of Verizon and an advocate for your customer as you work to continually improve our service. In this role, a vital part of the customer experience is in your hands. The work will be fast-paced, results-oriented and involve working closely with other functional teams.

  • Manage in-flight projects to completion to deliver services within the defined scope. You will plan, guide, and oversee the day-to-day internal activities that support the Program Office, and assist in the development of the master project schedule and all other project work plans    
  • Address the Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation phases of the project and ensure that critical project activities or milestones will be clearly noted and tracked against a project.  
  • Prepare performance reports and service level reports to collectively show Verizon's compliance with service levels and associated performance requirements.    
  • Manage dashboard reporting, as mutually agreed to with the customer and documented in the Methods and Procedures manual.    
  • Develop Service Improvement Plans (SIP) as appropriate

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

*    Background in large complex telecom deployments and

*    Strong technical abilities in IT and Telecom

*    ITIL Certification and ITIL Proficiency.

*    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*    Technical reporting experience with advanced knowledge of MS officeapplications, especially Excel.

*    Ability to identify problems, analyze and provide solutions.

*    Ability to manage resource schedule on time and on budget.

*    Excellent abilities in coordinating multiple projects across multiple organizations
