What you’ll be doing...


This role provides HR Services to a specific country or countries. This function allows the businesses to operate efficiently, cost-effectively and in compliance with regulatory and industry practices. This function reports to the Manager HR SSC EMEA and has a close collaboration with all HR departments. The role will be based in Brussels (Diegem).


HR Shared Service Center

  • Responsible for the transaction management in the systems: Manage Hires, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service. Create contract addendum when needed, in line with the internal and country guidelines to ensure compliancy.

  • Be available to answer and resolve frontline HR queries from Verizon employees and managers using eCRM, within specified service level agreements and targets.

  • Take ownership for closing queries requiring third party involvement (eg other internal HR departments, solution providers, HRIS, policy/process owners etc).

  • Maintain employee databases using Peoplesoft, Microsoft Office tools and other web-based systems as required ensuring HR data is secure, correct and updated at all times.

  • Contribute to and participate in systems implementations and process improvement initiatives.

  • Undertake general administration duties as required and identify opportunities to streamline processes wherever possible.

    Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Responsible for benefits administration, in line with the internal and country guidelines to ensure compliancy. Acting as primary contact with external providers and internal Comp & ben department.

  • Responsible for updating and storage of local personnel files in line with the internal and country guidelines to ensure compliancy.

  • Responsible for the work references in line with the internal and country guidelines to ensure compliancy.

  • Responsible for the Leave of Absence Administration (vacation, sickness, family friendly absences …) in line with the internal and country guidelines to ensure compliancy.

  • Support the Case management of global mobility activity (e.g., immigration requirements, inter country transfers) to ensure compliancy.

  • Support the country HRBP with the administration of voluntary and involuntary terminations.

  • Work collaboratively within team (and other third parties as appropriate) to continually review and enhance country specific content on About You, our intranet site.

  • Support the onboarding of new employees in close collaboration with the New Employee Support Team (NEST).

  • Provide support needed to ensure compliancy on audits, internal controls, and external counsel. Maintain/improve controls & audit structure to ensure HR data integrity and security.

  • Responsible for the HR vendor process administration for the assigned countries, including HR related invoice processing and PO creation in close collaboration with internal Comp & Ben department and Local Finance.

What we’re looking for...

  • Bachelor degree in HR or Business Administration (or related field experience).

  • 3-5 Years of HR experience, preferable in an admin role within an international environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the local labor law.

  • Highly proficient in the latest word processing, presentation, and data analysis software (e.g. Microsoft Suite), Peoplesoft experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid, fast-paced environment with a matrix organization.

  • Strong administration skills combined with a hand on mentality.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent proficiency with the Dutch and English language (Written and Verbal) is required. Knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.
