What you’ll be doing...

The FP&A Manager of Roaming Settlement is responsible for leading the financial settlement of Verizon’s 500+ roaming agreements including the annual settlement calculations, communicating adjustments with our roaming partners and finalization of all roaming settlement adjustments.

  • Define and document the overall strategy and policies for the financial settlement of GSM roaming contracts. Manage and update the systems and processes needed to ensure all roaming contract financial adjustments are correctly calculated and settled.
  • Lead the financial settlement monthly process and meetings with cross functional teams, reporting on the financial contract adjustments.
  • Publish the monthly credit note schedule as the system of record to track the contract adjustments.
  • Manage all open financial settlement issues, using best practice and industry expertise to bring issues to closure.
  • Escalate significant settlement issues to the Verizon roaming management team to ensure Verizon has a coordinated and consistent approach with our roaming partners.
  • Responsible for the finalization of more than $20m in adjustments annually including managing the end to end communication and financial settlement of contract adjustments directly with our roaming partners.
  • Lead cross functional process changes and improvements that add value to the Financial Clearing process.
  • Implement processes to support the settlement of new and expanding roaming services.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
  • GSM/CDMA Roaming Settlement background.
  • A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
  • A high degree of analytical capability with the demonstrated ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
  • Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations.
  • An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
  • Demonstrated in depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Qlik View, Hyperion Planning, and SQL.
  • Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal supervision.
