What you’ll be doing...

The CorporateStrategic RelationshipSpecialist is a collaborative “Defend” sales support role responsible for developing and executing a strategic solution selling approach within an assigned territory of Verizon corporate accounts. A high-level of self-discipline, trustworthiness, persistence, and creativity are required to become successful in this role. The preferred candidate has demonstrated strongenterprise salesskills and proven track record of sales results in a collaborative environment, as well as an ability and desire to operate in positions requiring self-direction and motivation.

The CorporateStrategic Relationship Specialist is the main contract renewal point of contact for internal Verizon stakeholders including field sales, pre-sales, legal, and Pricing & Contracts Management (PCM). You will leverage Verizon internal systems, sales tools, processes, and a variety of other resources on a daily basis to meet your individual KPIs and overall business objectives. You are responsible for building valued internal relationships that result in your aligned sales teams achieving their sales targets. You will also use your prior business development and sales experience to research and prospect to uncover net new opportunities in the following solution areas - networking, mobility, security, business communications, CX services, and IoT.

This position requires…

  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other social media & industry data sources to uncover potential new business opportunities and customer interactions.
  • An understanding of, and appreciation for a customer’s business, industry, and challenges to identify present and future needs using a consultative and outcome-based selling approach.
  • You will be expected to meet pre-defined objectives (KPIs) for forecast accuracy, funnel growth, account penetration, meetings scheduled, and opportunity advancement/progress.
  • Prior Salesforce experience and daily focus on the importance of timely, accurate Salesforce updates.

  • Uses key partner and competitor offerings to differentiate Verizon solutions.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least five (5) years of successful enterprise and ITsalesexperience or related discipline preferred. Must be able to partner with and influence others outside of their department/functional area. Strong negotiation skills preferred. Organizational skills and leadership experience a plus.
