What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for multiple central offices in the Westchester area. Responsibilities include maintaining the reliability of the network as well as providing support for all maintenance and provisioning services for the various lines of business. Operating in a 24x7 environment, you’ll lead a team of 10 to 20 union technicians, responsible for the maintenance and provisioning of Central Office switching, interoffice, local loop, Fios, Ethernet, and other miscellaneous electronic equipment.

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a high performing team while driving change to meet strategic business goals.
  • Proactively monitoring the network and effectively handling Tactical Outage, Situational Management, and Unplanned Outage Events.
  • Providing technical assistance and communicating technical information and status to customer service centers, technical support organizations, and management teams.
  • Developing and implementing global response plans for network-impacting events.
  • Sharing best practices and mentoring to share knowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience supervising a 24X7 technical workforce.
  • Good understanding of all central office networks.
  • Ability to work with key business partners to resolve and provide root cause analysis on any network or customer event.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills to drive a positive culture through coaching and communication.
  • Experience with Verizon internal systems, such as CoFEE, vRepair, BAAIS National, OASIS, MASTARS, TIRKs, and FOMs.
  • Experience managing complex processes and driving results.
