What you’ll be doing...

This role plays an important part in our company’s delivery of requirements for Epic support in Omni, the Sales Enablement Tools, Customer Service applications, User Experience, and End to End functionality. Knowledge of VZ UAT environments, business requirements, agile methods and understanding of the end to end user experience are critical for this position.

The System Specialist will support all functional/UAT testing across multiple platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile browser, mobile app) for Enterprise Releases and Change Controls. This role is an essential part of delivery execution and works closely with content leads, scrum masters, IT and VTFs to groom user stories, provide feedback, execute testing and provide sign off.

Must have the capability to create well-structured, comprehensive test plans & scripts in addition to documenting test procedures and identifying defects that will result in meeting quality standards. Must understand the capabilities of technical and analytical tools relevant to applicable systems in order to strategize and implement best solutions for Consumer, Business & Customer Service.

Builds and manages an effective IT and business partnership to help define requirements, processes, and more importantly, improve the overall end user experience. This includes facilitating calls, presenting demos to stakeholders, communicating project status, and providing executive level summaries to lift jeopardy items. Ideally, this candidate enjoys identifying system gaps that will ensure that the product meets the required quality standards and our customer’s needs.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Overall product delivery and approval/sign off
  • Production testing, implementation, launch support, issue impact/workaround communication, and warranty support
  • Provide input to and shape UAT processes in alignment with industry best practices
  • Provide analysis and metrics for projects and overall release on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize between multiple releases, applications, install activities, and tasks for upcoming releases
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support testing efforts and meet deadlines is required
  • Perform site visits to gain understanding of how end users utilize supported applications
  • Create, maintain, and run automated test suites

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience in testing /project management/ operations.
  • Two or more years Wireless/Channel experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Two or more years Wireless/Cahnnel experience.
  • Expertise of VZW systems including ACSS, IVR, POS (OMNI) and LiveChat.
  • Working knowledge / Experience of UAT processes.
  • Experience with User experience testing approach and tools.
  • Functional knowledge of OMNI Telesales/Indirect/B2B, EZQuote, Salesforce, CMS, Info Manager, Clarity, Plutora, JIRA.
  • Understanding of Java, Selenium, Apium.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile, SQA methodologies and SDLC.
  • Superior verbal and written communicator.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business in written and oral communications.
  • Ability to conduct meetings, evaluate issues, provide solutions and drive aggressive timelines.
  • Thorough understanding of VZW programs, products, policies and procedures
  • Superior technical expertise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to give and follow direction.
  • Strong analytical, investigative and organizational skills.
  • Good time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, make sound business decisions.
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (e.g. - Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
