What you’ll be doing...

As our Manager, Tradeshows, you will play a key role on a high performing team focused on bringing the Verizon brand, businesses and products to life across a wide range of Enterprise events. The role and organization are charged with the driving powerful customer experiences, through ideation, design, and execution of best in class engagements that reflect the brand promise of changing the way people live, work and play.

You will report into the Director, Experiential & Hospitality and will be responsible for changing the way Verizon is viewed in the marketplace by creating and delivering experiences that articulate our brand, and drive revenue at Tier 1 industry events.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to build and deliver experiences for Verizon’s business base, while integrating technology solutions, to drive brand affinity, innovation, and profitability.
  • Use expertise to evaluate and implement solutions to enhance the business experience.
  • Develop opportunities to drive marketplace knowledge of company products and services.
  • Partner with business units on key priorities and business objectives.
  • Design events according to Verizon’s brand voice, in conjunction with internal and external agencies.
  • Strategize, develop, communicate and execute Tier 1 Trade Events.
  • Execute the overall event management strategy.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversee complex event operations, while achieving scale.
  • Provide operational support to customer-facing and/or marketing teams in relation to Tier 1 trade shows.
  • Maintain oversight and governance of company-wide events, where CMO does not play the lead role (i.e.: leadership presence, messaging, design etc.).
  • Serve as the subject matter expert providing guidance across business units for best practices and efficiencies regarding event execution.
  • Consult on branding, creative design and content for trade related invitations, merchandise, and customer gifts.
  • Oversee trade event program budgets and reconciliation, as well as ongoing financial ROI analysis.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Six or more years of experience working in event management, managing complex events, independently.
  • Ability to be a self-motivated individual who has an eye for interior design and event detail.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick thinking, with an ability to work well in dynamic environment and multi-task.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional problem solving based on trends and issues.
  • In depth knowledge of business units and their key objectives.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Capability to be customer focused, cost sensitive, problem solver.
