What you’ll be doing...

In this position, you will support the Network Operations Center Team offering Services to Submarine Cable Systems Networks.

  • Provides technical and/or analytical support to the NOC Team with limited supervision; aids in the successful completion of projects within a product or functional area.
  • Performs a variety of technical activities in support of the functional processes, programs and/or services. Work includes tracking of processes & activities, compiling and analyzing data, creating reports, providing information and/or recommendations regarding short/long term equipment issue, identify trends.
  • May be involved or lead in smaller projects or phases of a larger project with accountability for tasks assigned; providing project updates or timelines as needed.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, computer science, or other telecom related discipline or 4+ years of equivalent experience in Submarine Cables Operations.
  • Knowledge of preferred Submarine Network Equipment’s manufacturers include: Ciena, Alcatel-Lucent, Mitsubishi, Xtera, TE SubCom, Infinera, NEC and their related remote supervisory packages/Network Management System(s).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 Network Operations Center work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and proficiently document/ articulate technical recommendations to a variety of audiences/skill levels.
  • Participated effectively as a group member in a creative team environment.
  • Submarine Cable Landing Station, NOC, or Surveillance Center’s experience.
  • Team player abilities.
  • Demonstrated a working/in-depth knowledge of the Submarine Cable Systems’ industry and its associated key components and their utmost current elements associated to optical coherent technology.
