Customer Success EMEA Sales Operations Consultant

Role description:

Sales Operations Consultant will work within Global Sales Enablement - Operations (Ops) team supporting EMEA Customer Success teams based across several Verizon Connect European locations. The role is based in Verizon Connect Reading office, reporting into EMEA Sales Ops Manager. The role is responsible for providing high quality maintenance, data reporting and integration of the CRM (Salesforce) system, along with supporting the commercial transformation initiatives within EMEA Customer Success and utilizing the new tools and applications available.

Sales Operations Consultant will work as part of a cross-functional team ensuring the business are utilising the full features and benefits of the CRM system and will liaise directly with internal stakeholders, project teams and IT to understand business needs within project activities and to enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, keep up to date with new releases and provide training to ensure positive user experience.

The role will be representing EMEA Sales Ops team in the business transformation initiatives - in some cases, this means personally driving and executing initiatives by defining requirements, objectives and deliverables, and driving implementations through cross-functional teams. In other cases, this means being the functional champion for initiatives being driven at a global level, acting as the liaison into critical resources within EMEA Customer Success to ensure the successful rollout of programs into the field.

Due to the nature of this role, the Sales Operations Consultant will need to be technically savvy and hold strong people skills and stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities:

    • Act as a liaison between business users and IT / project teams to ensure user requirements are satisfied and user feedback is fed effectively into project activities
    • Work with IT and the business and provide suggestions for system developments, implementations and upgrades
  • Support business analysis activities within commercial transformation initiatives
    • Drive efficiencies and automation across EMEA Customer Success activities
    • Document processes and workflows
    • Advise business users on the best way to use the CRM system and troubleshoot queries
    • Support business users with reporting and analytics capabilities of the CRM system
    • In conjunction with IT, maintain user roles, profiles and hierarchies and handle on-going customisation / alteration of the CRM system
    • Act as a functional lead in systems implementation initiatives e.g. developing business requirements, test scenarios, test scripts, validating system functionality, liaising with stakeholders and assisting the users
    • Act as a functional lead in system migration initiatives e.g. analysis, data cleansing, data migration, quality assurance of records and stakeholder sign-off

Essential Skills/Attributes

    • Educated to degree level in a business or IT subject
    • 1-3 years of previous experience working in a similar Sales Ops position
    • Knowledge and experience of using a CRM system and its reporting functionality
    • Understanding of systems in general and ability to learn new systems quickly
    • Experience of working across geographic and functional boundaries
    • Demonstrable experience of reporting and production of summary reports and analysis
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Problem solver able to manage ambiguity
    • Strong ability to liaise effectively with users and gather feedback
    • Strong ability to work well in a team, including across multiple departments
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Approachable and collaborative
