What you’ll be doing...

As a seasoned communications researcher, you’ll oversee communications research within our Consumer & Marketplace Insights team. You and your team will be driving change by championing the voice of the customer and linking communication insights to commercial outcomes.

  • Working closely with Directors and VPs of Media, Marketing and Communications, Marketing Effectiveness and Brand Strategy, as well as advertising agency partners.
  • Leading all custom advertising and communication insights for Verizon, including evaluation of advertising prior to airing, and tracking Verizon campaign performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Working closely with various parts of the CMI team including the brand and NPS tracking team, the value proposition team, and the UX research team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Consumer market research experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Marketing or market research related Master's degree.
  • Mix of research vendor/agency and client side experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to prioritize among multiple parts of the business and projects.
  • Extensive experience and genuine interest in ads, strategy, insights and people.
  • Ability to design research programs, both qualitative and quantitative, to address business needs, and ability to articulate rationale and tie to creative briefs.
  • High degree of comfort using influence and persuasion cross-functionally.
  • Experience managing research agencies and workflows to ensure quality and accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely completion of projects.
  • Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources and translating findings into actionable consumer insights and recommendations
  • Proven knowledge of ongoing campaign tracking.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience operating effectively in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving tech environment.
  • Contributed to a culture of innovation by finding new and better ways of doing things: identifying, creating and employing innovative research and operational approaches.
  • Self-starter mindset, with demonstrated effectiveness, consultative skills, and brand and advertising expertise.
