What you’ll be doing...

As the global lead, you’ll play a key role in driving our pricing across the organization and in assuring that we deliver an unmatched customer experience at the optimal price.

You’ll help us find the right price for our products and services. You’ll work with others to develop pricing and ensure that our price is competitive, meets client needs, and is profitable. You’ll make sure that what we offer is a win-win for both the client and us. You’ll work across business lines and across borders to ensure that each bid is aligned with our overall pricing strategy.

  • Developing and implementing a global pricing strategy for established and new offerings.
  • Crafting and reviewing client bids for a wide range of products and services.
  • Coordinating across sales and marketing along with external partners and responding to request-for-proposals.
  • Partnering with operations, engineering, and development teams to ensure that in the end, we will meet or exceed all customer expectations within the proposed budget.
  • Creating pricing guidelines and ensuring compliance.
  • Price lead for national wholesale Carrier Ethernet product.
  • Conducting market research, customer interviews, etc. to identify pricing trends, market rates, and opportunities/threats.
  • Leveraging market research to reset standard rates and market floors and to implement promotional opportunities. Requires building business cases, interfacing with stakeholder groups, obtaining necessary approvals, and implementation.
  • Managing day-to-day pricing opportunities and deal desk process.
  • Interfacing with Product team to provide pricing support for new product/feature launches.
  • Driving contract work associated with pricing opportunities.

This position can be located in any valid Verizon location in the United States.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with contract negotiations, pricing and financial modeling and reporting.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, or Economics.
  • Master’s degree – ideally an MBA.
  • Advanced analytical skills. Also, you are a wiz at Excel.
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal). Ability to tell the “story” behind business cases and models – not just read out on numbers..
  • Familiarity and experience working with Carrier Ethernet.
  • Familiarity and experience working within telecommunications marketplace, including technology/product trends, key customers and suppliers.
  • Comfort and experience interfacing and negotiating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and customers.
