What you’ll be doing...

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to a business unit or corporate function on all human resource-related issues be it Recruiting, Selection, Compensation, Benefits and Employee/Labor relations. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent for the business. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units and acts as a liaison between departments/divisions, all levels of line and staff management, the HR centers of excellence, legal counsel and outside service providers
  • Consults with line management, providing HR policy guidance and interpretation when appropriate, to help with strategic planning to all level of the client organization
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partners with the global HR teams, as needed, on business matters related to global teams or employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Partners with the learning and development organization to identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
  • Provide Human Resources support in the areas of ethics, compliance, EEO, compensation planning, performance management, talent management, headcount management, leadership development, staffing, absence management, employee relations, and labor relations by creating partnerships with the specialist HR functions.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6 or more years of proven experience in Human Resources.

Even better if you have:

  • 4 or more years of demonstrated experience in data analysis & presenting data-backed solutions to clients
  • Broad understanding of Human Resources including staffing, compensation, employee relations, organizational development, training, performance management and labor relations
  • Able to be proactive, prioritize work and manage multiple priorities and deliver on-time results
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to present ideas and training programs to all levels of the organization
  • Strong teamwork and team leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiating, and facilitation skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Mergers, Acquisitions or Divestitures experience
  • Experience in PeopleSoft and HR systems
  • Previous HR Generalist experience
  • Experience leading transformation initiatives
  • Project Management experience
