What you’ll be doing...

You will provide operational support to multiple areas including: construction, installation and maintenance (Fios, Core and Special Services), customer operations, and methods and procedures.

  • Perform quality inspections for field work, and get involved with resolving chronic service problems for customers.
  • Perform a variety of tasks that include tracking and compiling of data, data analysis, budget tracking, project management, creating and implementing performance improvement initiatives, quality improvement projects, expense reduction and capital tool evaluation and ordering.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly operational performance reporting of scorecard results, key project milestones and system performance metrics.
  • Manage audits to ensure compliance, create ORR decks, ensure absence is correctly administered, ensure eTouchPoint compliance, and track training completions.
  • Exercise considerable judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining expected results.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have

  • A degree.
  • Relevant training and/or work experience directly related to Outside Plant Construction and/or Installation and Maintenance.
  • Experience with budgetary/financial analysis.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, and establish timelines/milestones to achieve objectives with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment and to adapt quickly to change.
  • Skills to work independently and be proactive in pursuing business objectives.
  • Proficiency with analysis and creating and implementing strategies based on that analysis.
  • General knowledge of other areas of the company that may work with or depend on Region Operations or Construction or I&M.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.
  • Systems proficiency, including Verizon specific programs such as vBuild, OPC, NOQI, vMobile.
