Verizon is a global leader delivering innovative communications and technology solutions that improve the way our customers live, work and play. This career opportunity is within the Verizon Credit and Order Review (CORe) team that handles support functions for our various sales channels.

The role of the Senior Representative is responsible for resolving consumer and sales channel concerns through inbound calls related to device activations. Activations support will consist of assisting Agents and Consumers with activating their devices and processing various transactions for Sales Agents while maintaining Verizon’s world class customer service standards. Account maintenance consists of assisting Agents and customers with managing, troubleshooting and provisioning of features and products. Other responsibilities include processing internet orders, and reviewing customer credit applications based on Verizon credit policy and applicable laws.

The position’s emphasis will be on educating and empowering Sales Agents by understanding and following Verizon’s internal operational procedures. This position requires interaction between multiple sales channels including Verizon Direct, Indirect, and Telesales.

The successful candidate will possess a high level of detail orientation, including accuracy and proficiency in reviewing credit reports, risk assessment, and strong working knowledge of our policies and procedures. The role involves a great deal of problem solving, the need for continuous learning and strong customer service orientation.


The schedule will require flexibility, including nights, weekends and holiday hours in order to be available for our customers. The department utilizes a performance based process to determine schedules. CORe’s hours of operation are 8 AM-3 AM EST. The current center hours in the Hilliard location are 8 AM-10PM EST.

Trianing will begin 2/11/2019.

Training hours are Monday - Friday 10:00AM - 7:00PM. Training is 13 weeks.

Verizon offers an excellent total rewards package including benefits beginning day one, 401K and a competitive starting salary of $36,750yr ($17.66/hr) + 5% short term incentive program.

  • One year of customer service experience – Required
