What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager of Bill to Cash Testing Operations is responsible to manage/lead and motivate a team with a scope of: identify and mitigate billing/revenue stream impacts, conditions that cause IT system degradation, fraud, legal, and regulatory control gaps; minimize business and customer impacts; drive error-free Releases, services and product launches, and support service/product lifecycles through a risk-based approach. The Senior Manager oversees Releases and service/product launches by managing the team, conducting the testing and coordination efforts of the project for Testing Operations and Revenue Assurance. This candidate will demonstrate sound management/leadership, project management, overseeing team coordination and conducting of targeted testing to verify the release projects and service/product bills accurately.

  • Act as a single point of contact for Testing Operations and Revenue Assurance on all projects as they relate to Verizon branded products/services, and projects of varying degrees of complexity and scale; validate that the experience matches to billing/revenue output and customer experience.
  • The manager will evaluate the system, process and organizational impact of change requests and quantify potential or actual dollar impacts; ensure key stakeholders are aware as well as they make recommendations based on this analysis.
  • Manage and provide final approval on cross functional projects that either directly or indirectly impact the rating and billing streams.
  • Supply executive level updates to illustrate the current status, risk and potentially gating factors for active projects.
  • Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to determine root cause and resolution for customer or billing impacting issues.
  • Provide strategic direction to direct reports and key stakeholders within the business on matters that relate to Revenue Assurance governance. Negotiate, influence and provide process efficiencies for customer interfacing systems.
  • Proven ability to independently design and execute complex test cases and drive improvements to completion.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of specific test scripts to ensure the integrity of various customer order flows.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to refine and improve requirements for both new and existing products and services.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with other organizations that are both internal (Network, IT, Marketing, Finance, etc.) and external (device OEM, vendors, etc.)
  • Protect proprietary and confidential information.
  • Improve the customer experience and advocate for our shareholders by personifying the VZ credo.
  • The Senior Manager is responsible for managing a team who actively participates as principal leads for Testing Operations / Revenue Assurance on large, cross-functional projects to ensure that the targeted enhancements produce the intended results.
  • Continually broaden and strengthen team’s knowledge of technology, tools, and systems.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, one-on-one, and mentoring sessions.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to direct reports through regular meetings, performance agreements and established leadership development processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and troubleshooting support to various business partners.
  • Complete required training, and continually broaden and strengthen knowledge of manager/leadership skills, technology, tools and best practices.
  • Manage preparation of Monthly Operations Reports to supply key performance indicator metrics to upper management.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of wireless network technologies like CDMA, GSM, and LTE.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in a discipline such as Finance, Management Information Systems, Marketing, or Business.
  • Bill to Cash Revenue Assurance experience.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Two or more years of work experience with wireless point-of-sale systems and pricing reference data models.
  • Relevant certifications such as: CPA, PMP, CAPM, CISA, CSM, Oracle/Teradata SQL.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Practical working knowledge of ACSS and/or POS systems, and customer self-serve systems.
  • Knowledge of CPI.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • A passion for technological trends and enabling the integration of latest advances into the day-to-day lives of our customers.
  • Ability to perform under high pressure.
  • Creativity and flexibility in managing multiple simultaneous projects and issues.
  • Team oriented – proactively notifies others of direct/indirect issues that may impact their processes.
  • First-hand experience with troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • In the capacity of a SME, represent Verizon and Testing Operations / Revenue Assurance across functional groups to resolve complex issues to ensure compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to anticipate issues based on analysis and experience and drive to resolution.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of the organization, with strong consideration for varying degrees of technical proficiency.
  • Desire to learn and capable of assimilating new information and able adapt to constant high velocity change.
