What you’ll be doing...

Your role is to manage the Severance Administration Process for all Verizon team members. Using your Human Resources expertise and a deep understanding of our business, you’ll guide effective interactions with benefits, legal, payroll, and other departments. You’ll partner with Human Resources to communicate process and changes and develop solutions to support business challenges, where appropriate.

  • Leading, motivating, and engaging your team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely response to unemployment claims.
  • Utilizing vendor relationships to assist with unemployment tax matters.
  • Overseeing the program and vendor administration for outplacement services and employment verification.
  • Managing the employment verification process and retention of HR records.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in human resources and project management.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience leading a team and working collaboratively as a team member.
  • Strong consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Experience influencing key stakeholders through relationships, expertise and data.
  • Demonstrated abilities in attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • The ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels.
