What you’ll be doing...

The Manager for Robotic Process Automation will manage and implement several different processes within the Purchasing and Supply Chain businesses.

RPA Metrics Strategy, Production, & Validation

  • The RPA Manager will be responsible for developing cumulative operational KPIs & metrics for each Bot produced, managed, and maintained by the Purchasing RPA initiative. This will require a variety of methodologies, including time studies (As-IS Vs. To-Be), process analysis, data analysis, and quantification of business benefits.
  • The RPA Manager will first develop RPA metrics for a Bot during the initial use case identification with Verizon IT and the Purchasing business owner in order to validate whether there is sufficient quantification of business benefit (e.g. number of hours saved) in order to justify the production and ongoing maintenance of the Bot. Act as main liaison between IT & Business.

Bot Management

  • The RPA Manager is Purchasing’s centralized “Bot Manager”, who will oversee the growing number of functioning RPA Bots from the Bot Central dashboard. This involves monitoring daily Bot KPIs, trouble-shooting Bot defects with Verizon IT & managing trouble-ticket resolution.
  • The RPA Manager is Purchasing’s dedicated operational touch point for all Bot performance. As required, the RPA manager will:
    • Document requirements for Bot enhancements to improve delivery performance
    • Document & manage the Verizon IT resolution of trouble tickets
    • Develop & disseminate operational KPI reports on RPA program performance
    • Assist Business on documenting new standard operating process in tandem with RPA solution

Process Standardization around Bot Automation

  • Create strategy for process standardization in parallel with Bot metrics development. Ensure business teams create or update the process flows and process changes driven by RPA automation.
  • Maintain and grow Purchasing’s master library of process flows for Bot automation.
  • Identify automated tools and systems strategies for identifying new process standardization and automation solutions. Conduct supplier RFPs to equip Purchasing with best-in-class tools for quickly identifying RPA use cases.
