What you’ll be doing...

You will oversee and implement several different processes within the Purchasing and Supply Chain organizations.

  • Creating, managing, and continually refreshing a robust pipeline of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) use cases to automate manual, repetitive processes in the Global Purchasing Organization and partner Supply Chain organizations (Planning, Inventory Management).
  • Managing the pipeline through direct leadership to manage Purchasing process engineering and business subject matter experts (SMEs) to think creatively to standardize and streamline processes to support incremental automation.
  • Conducting process evaluation and standardization workshops to drive strategic RPA opportunities.
  • Identifying disparate processes with the resources on your team, aligning with business stakeholders on one standardized process, then standardizing the processes in parallel with RPA automation projects.
  • Partnering with systems team for standardization of processes and ensuring that use cases have good runway and no impact with other system enhancement in flight.
  • Developing business measures of success and KPIs, and measuring the value that drives RPA use case selection.
  • Implementing holistic KPIs to measure the effectiveness of Bots in cycle time, throughput, fall out reduction, and other program benefits.
  • Developing enhanced Bot management tools that include a platform solution to enable managers to seamlessly manage RPA Bots, including monitoring their daily activities, shifting in human resources in case of Bot failure to a process, identifying and managing Bot KPIs, and developing new Change Requests (CRs) to enhance the delivery performance of in-production Bots.
  • Conducting strategic supplier RFPs, solution development sessions, and engaging the start-up community to deploy the newest and highest ROI RPA tools.
  • Conducting a supplier benchmarking RFP to baseline that current Verizon strategies are utilizing the best practices in place in the telecommunications, technology, and manufacturing industries for RPA.
  • Assembling Global Supply Chain’s requirements for Bot management, then overseeing Verizon IT to deliver the required enhancements to Bot Central.
  • Overseeing Purchasing’s human capability readiness and evolution.
  • Managing this process via collaboration with business partners to detail organizational capabilities (e.g. maintaining and evolving library of roles and activity SOPs), tracking employee activities by RPA impact, and developing and maintaining an analytical view of the Purchasing organization through the lens of the RPA program pipeline.
  • Proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure current and future needs are met.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of supply chain, systems, and data analysis best practices.
  • Communicating RPA measures of success to executive stakeholders in program checkpoints to align on program strategy, including executive level regular engagement sessions on the RPA program roadmap and progress.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience within business analytics, computer science, supply chain, information systems or a related field.
  • Project/Program Management experience, with experience with any project management/collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, JIRA.
  • Knowledge of tools like Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism and analytics, Access or SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google-suite applications.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Economics, Business Management, IT or Systems, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership abilities and documented management success record.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with systems development, Business Intelligence, ERP systems, Supply Chain Planning Systems.
  • Experience with development and delivery of executive communication via advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing Lean principles.
  • Proficiency in engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.
  • Expert understanding and experience in a technology company operational disciplines and systems with a particular focus on implementing transformational initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen to understand customer needs and formulate effective solutions.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain/Product Development best practices, and an understanding of common needs and challenges of the business.
  • Excellent capability at creation and delivery of presentations to senior management and executives.
