What you’ll be doing...

The Project Managers (PM) manage day-to-day fulfillment requests for customer. A lead, regional Project Manager will direct the activities of other Verizon Project Management resources and will report directly to the Verizon Program Manager.

The PM will perform the following tasks:

  • Standard Service Requests will be assigned to Verizon PM by customer creating a ticket in customer’s ticketing system tool.
  • Review all fulfillment requests for accuracy and completeness by working with the customer and/or account team prior to order entry/submitting for processing.
  • Work with customer business unit resources to gather details required to coordinate requested activities if missing from the original request.
  • Document and track each fulfillment request and provide a weekly order status to customer during the Service Delivery meeting.
  • Confirm that all organizations touching the order accurately complete respective tasks.
  • Engage and manage Account Team resources required to complete tasks associated with the fulfillment request.
  • Track all fulfillment request milestones from receipt through Order Management acceptance. Coordinate and host meetings with customer, equipment vendors, and account team personnel as required.
  • Coordinate/work with Provisioning, Service Delivery, Operations, Project Management, and other related groups as required in the creation of the order package.
  • Contact Customer to verify critical order information as pertains to specific order information found on the “PON” that Customer generates to Verizon, consisting of: type of order (new, move, disco), order details (circuit type), site information, billing information, and requested due date.
  • Provide status of fulfillment requests submitted via customer’s ticketing system tool.
  • Drive expedited requests with internal Verizon teams.
  • Communicate the status of implementation phases and tasks to designated customer representatives.
  • Conduct joint weekly update meetings with necessary Verizon resources and customer representatives. Update the ticket at pre-defined intervals with the status of the fulfillment request.
  • Transfer ownership of the fulfillment request to the PM when appropriate and validate PM acceptance of request.
  • Validate the order package, request type and scope, and information provided by the PM.
  • Coordination of activities related to the installation of all services for the customer.
  • Confirm that all organizations touching the order accurately have completed their respective tasks.
  • Confirm company-provided and customer-provided equipment is installed on time. Tracks all fulfillment request milestones from Order Manager Acceptance through to close to bill.
  • Coordinate and hosts meetings with customer, equipment vendors, and account team personnel as required.
  • Coordinate/work with Provisioning, Service Delivery, Operations, Project Management, and other related groups as required in the activation of services and/or installation of equipment.
  • Provide status of service requests submitted via customer’s ticket system. Coordinate and direct Verizon’s Global Engineering Services resources to complete.
  • Standard Service Requests and Advanced Service Requests.
  • Document required site preparations and work with internal Verizon resources to advise customer of any preparations necessary by customer at each customer site to ensure that site preparation is completed on schedule.
  • Communicate the status of implementation phases and tasks to designated customer representatives.
  • Conduct joint weekly update meetings with necessary Verizon resources and customer representatives.
  • Track necessary Verizon equipment and circuits.
  • Track shipping of Verizon equipment and notifying customer of shipment.
  • Coordinate installation of equipment at customer sites.
  • Provide estimated lead-times for Advanced Service Requests.
  • Complete and provide the “Site Guide”.
  • Schedule activation with Customers and equipment vendors, Confirm the Customer is provided with appropriate written and/or verbal confirmation of critical dates within the service delivery timeframe.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advance degree.
  • PMP certification.
  • Five or more years of experience in project management in the field of telecommunication or IT delivering standard and complex projects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
