What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational results and overall analytics for our forward and reverse supply chain. Specific functions include defining, developing and directing daily supply planning, purchasing, and inventory optimization needs that support all Verizon Fios related material. The core responsibility is to ensure the regions maintain a 95% service level for the entire product lineup, while minimizing the working capital risk to the business. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing to a set of supply chain operational metrics geared towards inventory optimization, cost reduction, and improving revenue opportunities and overall customer experience.

  • Collaborate extensively with various internal and external teams to support the S&OP process.
  • Support/lead supply chain-optimization related projects involving cross-functional teams at an aggressive pace on an enterprise-wide scale.
  • Leverage your leadership experience and successes driving cross-functional process improvement to enable tangible benefit to the business.
  • Be the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while supporting the day-to-day operations.
  • Be part of a leading-edge team responsible for supporting and executing strategic efforts across Verizon’s Supply Chain organization, in a high impact, highly visible, multi-business/multi-region position.

Daily Supply Planning and CFPR Initiatives

  • Maintain a 95% service level in all areas while minimizing the working capital risk.
  • Drive deep analytics to optimize inventory, supply planning and replenishment practices.
  • Evaluate policies and business rules to maximize business value. Report performance to all levels of management.
  • Establish vision and direction CPFR for (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) & VCI (Vendor Co-located Inventory) processes with all accessory vendors (Mirror the device best practices).
  • Implement SKU-based min/max levels for increased delivery performance.
  • Handle demand plan creation based on activity for various assigned programs.
  • Create and maintain executive level presentations for strategy and transformation initiatives, operational, business unit reviews, capital and go-to-market plans.
  • Work independently within a complex and dynamic environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with executive-level staff in order to assess and meet the needs of the business.
  • Build and maintain strategic planning partnerships with all impacted business units.

Supplier Management

  • Define, implement, and sponsor a full suite of collaboration procedures between suppliers and internal teams with the goal of providing world class performance.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for performance and help make their operations world class, utilizing metrics reporting against established targets and analyzing their processes for opportunities as we work upstream into their supply chain.
  • Establish guidelines with suppliers to successfully plan the launch and transition of new SKUs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Closely partner with cross functional teams to ensure collaboration in regards to road map, supply planning, and replenishment processes.
  • Develop, author, and lead accessory S&OP processes and adoption.
  • Create and maintain processes for the internal demand and supply integration/alignment.

Ensure inventory availability in all channels

  • Completely understand market conditions, including inventory, sell-thru, and upcoming promotion plans.
  • Formulate best practices in supply chain and enterprise channel management to manage the channels needs/expectations and ensure product availability.
  • Collaborate with channel owners to ensure committed supply is consumed in a timely manner (drive accountability).

Minimize obsolescence and working capital exposure

  • Minimize obsolescence by identifying slow moving inventory and proactively working with cross functional teams to create plans to stimulate sales.
  • Integrate the forward and reverse supply chains.

Process Improvement

  • Document and analyze the supply chain processes and flows through the various nodes.
  • Act as change agent to foster a high quality culture throughout the organization and drive measurable business process improvements.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams charged with implementing strategic enterprise-wide efficiency driving programs.
  • Gain organizational stakeholder support (both senior level and throughout the operational orgs) using a data driven business case for change actions, including a clearly articulated problem statement, sound analytics supporting the change position, and a project plan to improve the process.
  • Drive comprehensive change management, ensuring successful implementation, adoption and application of new capabilities.

Advanced Analytical Modeling, Analysis and Impact

  • Balance analytics with sufficient business acumen to translate complex business challenges into tractable mathematical models.
  • Provide end-to-end cohesion to ensure the successful delivery of analytic results:
    • Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, networking, and others to identify efficient and practical analytic goals and tactics.
    • Ensure that necessary data is captured, metrics are well-defined from both business and technical perspectives, and timelines are coordinated with analytic needs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Expertise in end-to-end supply chains, established effectiveness with managing inventory improvement initiatives with a focus in supply planning, inventory optimization, CPFR processes, and S&OP processes.
  • Experience managing a reverse logistics process including planning, operations and returns forecasting.
  • Experience managing replenishment activities out of a regional distribution center.
  • Highly developed leadership skills and the proven ability to engage, influence, and develop collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to understand, think strategically and implement long term plans in parallel with day to day supply management.
  • Ability to handle both long term and short term goals simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented work environment; including the ability to closely partner with cross functional teams to ensure collaboration in regards to road map, and replenishment processes and S&OP processes.
  • OEM/3PL management - proven track record with vendor relationship management, negotiation skills, and implementation of supplier scorecards.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Good in both written and verbal communications with ability to create and deliver executive presentations.
  • Process improvement experience to drive continuous improvement, make recommendations for and lead change initiatives around policies, procedures and processes that improve Supply Chain effectiveness.
  • Leadership experience with effective interpersonal and mentoring skills in driving employee performance, engagement, satisfaction and development.
  • Experience with planning, replenishment and systems.
  • Data analysis experience, including the ability to apply advanced analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining and statistics to design, implement, validate and refine mathematical models and algorithms to understand and optimize supply chain.
  • Planning systems experience with planning, replenishment, and S&OP systems, as well as strong technical experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
