What you’ll be doing...

The Network Engineering and Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing 7 unionized employees responsible for Invoice Processing and VENUe Drafting (Verizon Engineering Network Utilities eSolutions).

  • Manage the Associate workload of invoices submitted by the Engineering & Operations team.

  • Delegation of workload via a SharePoint portal.

  • Review and submit the bi-annual Purchase Orders and direct vendor payments.

  • Work closely with the internal capital budget team to ensure the monthly/quarterly/annual financial commitments are met.

  • Provide escalation support, if required.

  • HR management such as mid-year and year-end appraisals.

  • Handle union grievances and concerns as well as tracking absences.

  • Utilize financial systems nSAP, vSAP, SRM to assist team in resolving payment and budgetary issues.

  • Use AutoCAD system to review engineering drawings.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Previous experience managing unionized employees.

  • Familiarity with the importance and accuracy of tracking payments.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Financial proficiency in nSAP, vSAP, SRM and Excel. Familiarwith AutoCAD.
