What you’ll be doing...

The Credit and Collections Analyst is responsible for managing the collection activity on a portfolio of Verizon’s largest customers. You will manage the portfolio with a good sense of maintaining a high quality of customer accounts while maximizing working capital and minimizing bad debt and reducing churn. This will be accomplished through direct contact with customers on past due accounts. You will obtain commitments for payment and work with the customer to resolve disputes by partnering with Sales, Support, Billing and various other internal teams to ensure prompt resolution.

You will also need to analyze and interpret customer contracts in order to project manage the resolution path of complex disputes. Working knowledge of payment terms, interest clauses, and prompt pay statutes to name a few will be necessary to protect Verizon’s portfolio of receivables. You will need to consistently leverage your strong internal and external working relationships to achieve yearly goals and objectives.

What we’re looking for...

  • An Associate degree or higher; or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced software skills utilizing both Microsoft Office and Google

Even better if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business

  • Prior commercial collections and/or customer service experience
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to read instructions in order to carry out complex tasks independently
  • Ability to independently analyze complex issues and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
