What you’ll be doing...

You will work closely with functional HR teams and IT to manage projects for internal customers matching the best technology solutions to their business needs. In addition you will also be responsible for managing the HRIS activity associated with mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, as well as other non-technology specific operational projects. You’ll manage the process from needs assessment, product design and development, through product testing and implementation for technology projects. For technology based projects you’ll be the link between Human Resources and Information Technology to provide the solutions that enable the business to move forward and deliver results.

  • Managing large scale, cross functional projects from start to finish.
  • Assessing the business information and system needs and specifying business requirements.
  • Translating business requirements into solutions with clear technical specifications.
  • Creating and managing project plans and status reporting to drive results and meet deadlines.
  • Planning and testing products/system enhancements, troubleshooting production issues, and retesting fixes.
  • Communicating and presenting to leadership.

What we’re looking for...

You have strong business acumen, are inquisitive, and willing to dig into and resolve issues with minimal direction. You ask good questions to understand what the business needs and how to respond with the best technology solutions. You think like a consultant, are highly analytical, process and detail-oriented. Your strong partnership skills build results-oriented relationships with customers.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in Project Management, Human Resources processes, systems, policies and data.
  • Used PeopleSoft 9.0 or greater and supporting tools, such as STAT and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with the agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies.
  • Worked with reporting applications such as Cognos.
  • In-depth knowledge of Verizon HR Core data.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Worked with PS applications for at least 1 year or greater.
  • Experience with creating and implementing User Stories and Acceptance criteria in an agile method.
