What you’ll be doing...

This position is an integral member of the District support team. The Control Center Manager is responsible to work with the Field Supervisors, Engineering, Customers to properly schedule construction jobs within the force to load guidelines, including 30/60/90-day scheduling of all mainline and entrance construction. Provide communication and support to the region for critical topics. Proven ability to multitask, partner across corporate organizations, and proactively address issues in a fast paced, high volume environment. Project management of/district single point-of-contact for programs and strategic initiatives.

  • Monitoring and analyzing force to load balance.
  • Prioritization of workload based on due dates and customer requirements.
  • Tracking job status and accomplishments including close out of completed jobs.
  • Overseeing permit group and interacts with NYC permit and inspection agencies.
  • Preparing bid packages for Contract Administration. Interacting with Cooperate Sourcing. Maintaining overtime list for field craft personnel.
  • Overseeing construction coordinators/clerks.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Availability to work extended hours when necessary, including weekends and after hours and on call as required for the needs of the business.

  • Proven ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion.
  • Capability of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a Union environment.
  • Problem solving - logically dissecting problems into issues, options, and solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
