What you’ll be doing...

This role will be responsible for executing the on-time, on-budget delivery of projects and service requests and supporting major incident management. Responsible for managing or coordinating all resources required for Verizon to deliver services and meet contractual commitments for a major customer.

  • Oversee and provide accountability for assigned projects, service requests, and incidents for Customer.
  • Ensure SLAs are achieved.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key customer stakeholders for assigned projects.
  • Provide weekly status reports and input to monthly and quarterly governance meetings.
  • Maintain and drive resolution of Open Action Items for Customer.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and service improvement programs for Customer.

Types of Projects may include:

  • Installation, upgrades or configuration changes for WAN, LAN, WiFi, Wireless, security, telephony, video conference or data center equipment.
  • Network design.
  • Installation or upgrades of circuits.
  • Capacity planning and management.
  • Asset management and tracking.
  • PCI compliance audits.
  • Security enhancements and firewall changes.
  • New or relocating sites.
  • Application installations/upgrades, application server moves, and data center moves.
  • Implementation or upgrades to Verizon services.
  • Requests for information.
  • Equipment Lifecycle Planning.
  • Continual Service Improvement.

Project delivery activities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop requirements and manage scope.
  • Prepare Project Brief.
  • Obtain labor and equipment quotes.
  • Order and track circuits and equipment.
  • Develop, manage and track timeline.
  • Lead change management activities.
  • Manage resources and track time.
  • Coordinate field dispatches.
  • Manage and track project financial performance.
  • Manage project risks.
  • Manage project issues.
  • Manage project communication and status reporting.
  • Update documentation including network diagrams.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical knowledge in IT and Telecom.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN equipment and data circuits.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term, client relationships.
  • Proven ability to develop and expand services within existing accounts.
  • Project Management skills; proven ability to manage small to medium sized projects using industry standard tools and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of overall business functions and the impact of technical decisions on business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, analyze and provide solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, support and work within Project Teams.
  • Excellent abilities in coordinating multiple requests across multiple organizations.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task with changing business needs.
  • High degree of structure and well organized.
  • Self-starter; independently takes initiative; results driven.
  • ITIL Intermediate or above.
  • Cisco knowledge and/or certification.
