What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a seasoned professional to support Verizon Consumer wireless and wireline compliance and governance. The selected candidate will obtain broad exposure to multiple areas of Verizon’s Consumer line of business and make a significant impact on business unit profitability, the management of compliance risk, and the protection of Verizon’s corporate and brand reputation.

  • Support Consumer Markets in matters regarding legal and regulatory compliance, privacy, and information security.
  • Support filings with state and federal regulatory bodies, including the Federal Communications Commission.
  • Develop and conduct training on regulatory and compliance matters to ensure clients are aware of obligations and associated risk.
  • Provide guidance during development of internal systems used by the business to ensure appropriate compensating controls are in-place for ongoing compliance.
  • Monitor sales practices and customer experience, including assisting teams who address process design, employee or agent misconduct, customer complaints and billing issues.
  • Participate in the design of systems and processes for sales and technical support centers.
  • Contribute to the continued development of digital marketing, sales and support channels, and mobile applications that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review, monitor the effectiveness of, and revise as needed, training, systems, processes, methods and procedures within Verizon Consumer effectively to manage risk.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and video franchise requirements.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in business handling compliance, technology, or telecommunications matters, with a working knowledge of privacy, information security, and telecommunications regulatory issues.

  • A degree.
  • Financial or accounting background.
  • Effective written and oral and communications skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as a part of a cross-functional team.
  • Must be detail oriented and a self-starter, with the ability to provide proactive, accurate, and effective support.
