What you’ll be doing...

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver database and other data-driven solutions to support business needs and drive self-service analytics.
  • Build the infrastructure and maintain scalable architectures from complex data sets across multiple platforms to enable business agility.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and deliver solutions for the use, extraction, manipulation, and transformation of data to make it analytically ready.
  • Oversee data governance, data integrity, and data security for the Fios Planning & Governance group.
  • Create and maintain documentation of database processes and business rules.
  • Define and implement ongoing strategic decisions for compliance as it relates to cloud platforms.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SQL.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in web development using .Net, jQuery and SQL in the MVC architecture.
  • Experience with Agile and Devops tools such as Jira, Jenkins.
  • Experience with Teradata or SQL Server database.
  • Experience writing SQL, creating packages, leveraging functions, building stored procedures and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data management.
  • In depth knowledge of SQL Servers.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft suite of applications – Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in JavaScript, Tableau reporting, and working knowledge of deploying code to AWS.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel Visual Basic for Applications.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage and execute competing tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Slides and google drive, Google calendar and Google Mail.
  • High level of analytical, planning and organizational ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to plan for and manage numerous processes and ad hoc projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet customer requirements for timeliness and accuracy.
