What you’ll be doing...

Your mission will be to quantify competitive business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies. Working across the company, you’ll use your analytical expertise to identify trends, issues and opportunities, all with the goal of improving the customer experience and finding ways to make our business even better. You'll provide business intelligence that helps our team to evaluate complex issues and make smart operational decisions. You’ll partner with various internal teams to understand what they need to know, and then you will be responsible for connecting them with data, insights, and recommendations.

  • Performing statistical, data mining, and machine learning analysis on complex business problems.
  • Building reporting capabilities for detailed analysis.
  • Analyzing historical operations data and market information to predict future outcomes, working at times with large and disparate data sets.
  • Identifying areas for improvement, incorporating best-in-class and cutting-edge techniques, and designing new approaches and methodologies.
  • Creating results presentations for senior management that provide key business insights.

What we’re looking for...

You are good with numbers and you love to dig into data to find the story. Designing reports and spreadsheets is a fun afternoon for you. You are detail-oriented and know how to focus on what really matters. You understand the importance of accuracy in data analytics and reporting. You are a self-starter and a multitasker who can work independently under tight timelines. You want to make an impact by providing the data that will help improve the experience of our customers.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SQL.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in computer science, information systems, or a business-related field.
  • Worked with Teradata, SQL, Hadoop, and Tableau.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases - Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL server, Hadoop.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, quantitative analysis, forecasting/predictive analytics.
  • Able to independently extract data using SQL from large enterprise data warehouses.
  • Analyzed data, built reports and presentations, and made recommendations.
  • Effective problem-solver, with impressive analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Understands the needs and drivers of the business and is able to identify impactful analytical strategies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
