What you’ll be doing...

The mission of the Army Reserve CIO/G-6 is to provide secure and integrated signal and information technology capabilities that strengthen the Army’s combat readiness. The Army Reserve Network (ARNet) is embarking upon network modernization initiatives that requires increased visibility of its information technology assets to include those on the network, in-transit, and warehoused.

Verizon is looking for an IT Asset Manager to support our United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) contract located at Fort Bragg, NC. You will lead an information technology total asset visibility effort that will support the CIO’s ability to make sound financial, contractual, and inventory decisions. The IT Asset Manager will create outputs and make recommendations that impact the client’s strategic decision making relating to software and hardware assets within the client’s information technology environment. You will collaborate across both the client’s organization and within Verizon Enterprise Solutions to gather, input, and sustain detailed IT asset information. Your accomplishments will allow the client to make timely decisions about existing assets, save money, and avoid unnecessary purchases. You will leverage the client’s integrated software solutions to assist departments involved in the procurement, deployment, management and expense reporting of IT assets.

Essential tasks include:

  • Gather and integrate detailed hardware and software inventory information from disparate formats into an integrated software solution.
  • Design and maintain an IT Asset management program minimizes the incremental risks associated with aging and/or incomplete IT asset information.
  • Capture lifecycle financial information to include hardware, software, and licensing information to support the organization’s ability to make fact-based business decisions.
  • Serve as an essential point of accountability for the lifecycle management of information technology assets throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, standards, processes, systems, and measurements that enable the organization to manage the IT Asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost, control, IT governance, and compliance and business performance objectives.
  • Master the use of an integrated software solution that provides all departments with critical IT asset management information.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of software or hardware asset management.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Active government issued security clearance at a Public Trust level, or eligibility to obtain and maintain this clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years in a leadership role.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IT Asset Management Tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
