What you’ll be doing...

Join our Information Technology team where you will work on new technologies, find ways to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us. You will work closely on supporting the IVR suite of applications on more complex operational & technical projects, issues, systems and applications. You will use your experience, expertise and skills to solve problems that are more difficult & infrequent.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be working hands on automating the upgrading and patching the core IVR and NR systems using Jenkins and other CI/CD pipeline jobs. Responsibilities include participating in design discussions with development and vendor teams to ensure design principles are met to provide high availability and performance. Responsibilities also include working with other AWS cloud infrastructure teams and helping to move existing infrastructure to AWS.

  • Scripting (BASH, Perl, Ruby, Python, etc.) and building required automation using standard technologies such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef) tools.
  • Working with developers to debug problems and provide solutions.
  • Designing and analyzing changes in coordination with development.
  • Working on a 24x7 on-call shift as part of team rotation.
  • Building configuring and upgrading new IVR GVP framework and applications.
  • Implementing cloud infrastructure and assisting with cloud migration.
  • Performing the operational administration on AWS using OpsWorks, EC2 Cluster, AWS RDS for DB, AWS Elastic Load Balancer.
  • Automating, Scripting, Deploying, and Monitoring applications in On Prem and cloud.
  • Supporting upgrades and new builds to ensure systems are current and technology refreshes are within corporate needs.
  • Designing and analyzing changes in coordination with development.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • 3 or more years of DevOps / Application support and two or more years of cloud experience.
  • Two or more years of working experience in Linux and experience with scripting languages (i.e. BASH, Perl, Ruby, Python) and automation tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible cfengine).
  • Strong experience with Agile and Continuous Delivery development methodology.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud and virtualization based technologies Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or VMware vCloud and/or Docker.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, keeping track of and completing multiple tasks/issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Application Servers like Oracle Weblogic and Apache webservers
  • Knowledge of IVR core softwares like Genesys Voice Platform, Nuance Recognizer, Cisco ICMis an added advantage but not mandatory
