What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for assisting the manager in the end-to end project management of acquisition integration and disposition disintegration on behalf of all Verizon entities, preparing reports related to the active Mergers & Acquisitions projects and tracking the departmental budget. You will be responsible for the tracking and reporting of the detailed project deliverables from groups of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within Verizon relating to all aspects of the integration/disintegration functions. These tracking and reporting functions will enable the Program Management Office to drive various teams to meet strict and tight deadlines. You will also periodically produce executive level review documents that summarize M&A activity throughout Verizon.

  • Support the Program Management Office and associated deliverables.
  • Support the issue / risk / decision database and management of these elements on an ongoing basis.
  • Support for individual SME work threads / functions, plans, and creating an integrated plan for development and deployment activities while managing cross-project dependencies.
  • Support the analysis of the individual SME plans that will ensure the program is leveraging each resource groups appropriately.
  • Support the collection, reporting and presentation of multiple data elements to forecast the progress of the program and individual SME projects.
  • Work with cross functional team and departmental managers to properly resource the projects based on the required level of effort.
  • Help articulate and present the direction for program work streams with regard to process, deliverables and timelines.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource to support enhancements to the program. This includes working with project management software systems like Midaxo both as a tool for project management and a source for executive reporting,
  • Support resource assignment, time tracking, and other initiatives that are involved in the management of the overall project plans.
  • Support the creation of Management Reporting outputs to report weekly and monthly status, issues, and risks that impact the program using presentation software like PowerPoint and financial worksheet software like Excel.
  • Prepare and track the budget for a department of ~50 people.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel.

  • A degree.
  • Project management experience.
  • Two or more years of telecom or technology experience.
