What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for end-to end project management of acquisition integration and disposition disintegration on behalf of all Verizon entities. You will be responsible for leading diverse groups of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at varying levels within Verizon on deliverables and timing of all aspects of the integration/disintegration functions. You will facilitate the development, detailed specification and implementation of separate and often cross dependent integration plans between many cross functional SME teams to ensure a smooth and successful project transition. The position will drive various teams to meet strict and tight deadlines. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing periodic executive reporting related to Verizon M&A projects and preparing and tracking a departmental budget for ~50 people.

  • Support the Program Management Office and associated deliverables.
  • Support the issue / risk / decision database and management of these elements on an ongoing basis.
  • Support for individual SME work threads / functions, plans, and creating an integrated plan for development and deployment activities.
  • Analyze the individual SME plans to ensure that the program is leveraging each resource group appropriately.
  • Support the collection, reporting and presentation of multiple data elements to forecast the progress of the program and individual SME projects.
  • Work with cross functional team and departmental managers to properly resource the projects based on the required level of effort.
  • Help articulate and present the direction for program work streams with regard to process, deliverables and timelines.
  • Leverage a broad knowledge of standard Program Management Office practices and serve as a subject matter resource to support enhancements to the program. This includes working with project management software systems like Midaxo.
  • Proactively identify and manage the risk profile of each assigned work thread, with particular focus on cross functional risks due to thread dependency.
  • Support resource assignment, time tracking, and other initiatives that are involved in the management of the overall project plans.
  • Support the creation of Management Reporting outputs to report weekly and monthly status, issues, and risks that impact the program.
  • Support the creation of executive presentations related to Verizon M&A activity.
  • Create and track the departmental budget for a group of ~50 people.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • One or more years of experience in program management with knowledge of project management software systems

Even better if you have:

  • MBA.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Three or more years of telecom or technology experience.
