What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a candidate to support our Cyber Security sales activities in Canberra and the APAC region. The Principal Architects serve as the technical design authority and architectural expert for sales opportunities in support of our security portfolio. They will engage in complex, strategic sales opportunities directly, and serve as the technical lead for such pursuits, leading teams of engineers and delegating as necessary.

A Principal Architect will be capable of working independently on deals of any size or complexity. They will consult with our customer’s senior technical and business owners to create a strategy leveraging the strengths of our portfolio, and help execute that strategy within the sales and delivery organizations.

What we’re looking for...

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the computing/information technology industry in a presales oriented roles, with experience in at least three of these areas:
    • Cyber Intelligence and Analytics
    • Security Policy Assessment & Development
    • Managed Security Services
    • Threat and Risk Intelligence
    • Vulnerability Management
    • Identity and Access Management
    • Security & Network Architecture
    • Governance Risk and Compliance
  • The candidate must be capable of working independently on deals of various sizes or complexity, with general direction from leadership.
  • Thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and have the ability to clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with Verizon versus its competitors
  • Mastery of commonly used security and Internet concepts, practices and procedures
  • Superb presentation skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Candidate must currently hold an Australian Government Security Clearance - NV1 or higher.
