What you’ll be doing...

The Wireline Operations Control Center (OCC) provides provisioning, maintenance and dispatch support to the Retail, Wholesale and Enterprise business customer base and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We provide support for every product level from POTS service to Optical Carrier Systems. As a member of the operations center team you will be a part of a very high paced and customer focused work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills as well as team and personal accountability.

This position is for a Capacity Management Supervisor with the Mid-Atlantic South Region OCC. Responsibilities of this position includes, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for processing and evaluating information contained within a variety of management systems/tools to develop and administer region-wide capacity management strategies for dispatch interval efficiency.
  • Effectively implement solutions to ensure our workforce capacity matches the evolving demands of our customer needs in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Responsible for creating and presenting performance results, capacity plans, and workforce/workload reports to all internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for identifying and working with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve issues and to eliminate performance roadblocks.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the short, medium, and long-term forecasts for workforce utilization and performance.
  • Identify, highlight, and correct potential capacity issues before they impact live service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and develop productive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and business transformation activities.
  • Ability to locally commute and attend off-site partnership/stakeholder meetings when needed.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in Operations – Field or Center, (Finance/Budget experience a plus).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills who can traverse multiple levels of management and be able to work well with various groups (National Staff, IT, Sales, Dispatch, Field, CO).
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, functions) performing data/statistical analysis and visualization, (SQL a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, self-starter, professionally driven, ability to meet deadlines, and comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • Experience collecting and consolidating information from multiple tools, systems or platforms into a single database or data repository.
  • Experience building, configuring and designing reports utilizing data retrieved from our supporting systems and metrics.
  • Knowledge of COA, WFA, Workbench National, IVAPP, VRepair, Local Manager Central, Power Coach, (VZOT, NORM, COGNOS, SABIT, DTi a plus.), CCMT.
  • Knowledge of IBEW/CWA collective bargaining agreements and labor relations.
