What you’ll be doing...

  • Report to the Vice President of Sales; serve as a strategic partner to Federal Government sales and leadership teams in support of winning and defending revenue.
  • Perform opportunity and deal management functions (Deal Life Cycle management, Sector Review), including: bid qualification, price-to-win analysis, resource assignment, and gate reviews in support of federal acquisitions.
  • As assigned, lead pricing response efforts from bid interpretation, analysis, compliance, price and business case development and financial approval to final customer delivery.
  • Apply business experience and skills to support offers across multiple federal contracts and agencies: GSA GWACs (Networx, WITS, EIS, Connections II, Schedule 70); Department of Defense programs (DREN, DTS-P II, GNS) and numerous agency standalone contracts and OTAs.
  • Deliver a broad range of business support and expertise to sales teams ranging from capital funding solutions, tax and surcharge compliance, preparing and obtaining internal approvals, bid project management, executive communication, contract and pricing understanding, vendor management, business case development and analysis to customer face to face engagement
  • Assist with post-deal business plan execution; inspecting both revenue / expense flow.
  • Fill gaps as required by sales teams and business needs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • BS in Finance, Marketing, Business; MBA preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with ten or more years of experience in telecommunications, data center, and/or IT services industry; ideally, in the federal environment with knowledge of various contracts (GSA Networx, WITS, EIS, and DOD contracts).
  • Experience in PCM, Treasury, Leasing/Financing, Product Marketing, and/or Pricing.
  • Significant knowledge of Verizon’s services & solutions, including pricing and deal governance (CPS-103, EMR, PCM, etc.)
  • Proven business case development experience and results, including Price to Win and competitive along with and convincing executive communication.
  • Proven experience to project manage multiple, disparate projects, matrixed teams across competing and conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating across multi-matrixed teams and organizations to drive business results:
    • Internal: PCM, Tax, Legal, Sales, Accounting, Billing, Sourcing, Carrier Management, Pricing, Proposals, IT, Engineering, PMO, OPD, etc.
    • External: Customers, Vendors, Partners, Primes, Contractors, GSA, etc.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize work, with minimal supervision, based on business needs.
  • Possess the temperament to thrive in fast-paced environment and have a passion to help teams be successful.
