What you’ll be doing...


The person on this role is responsible for performing data center operations and support, as well as technical administration and/or analysis duties in support of various network and hardware/software operations management activities


Responsibilities:

  • Pre- installation prep, post installation documentation and quality assurance, asset inventory auditing through the established Data Center Inventory Management tool, back up tape and disk administration, and shipping/receiving asset management documentation.
  • Produce specific deliverables relating to operations management.
  • Occasionally leads staff members and peers on projects.
  • Works independently and typically requires supervision on complex tasks only.
  • Works as a team member with senior technical staff on large, complex technical projects.
  • Completes assigned technical projects on time (e.g.. analysis, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc.)
  • Analyzes problems, develops and implements solutions, and makes decisions that significantly impact projects.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert while providing coaching and mentoring to more junior members.
  • Resolves escalated trouble tickets and complex issues within the established timeframes while providing quality customer service.
  • Works Second Shift , hours : 3PM to 11 PM

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

    Even better if you have:

    • BS degree in computer, network or related field.
    • Greater than 5 years experience working within enterprise data center environment
    • CompTIA Certification
    • Ability to lift 50lbs and reach under sub-floor for installing or removing cables.
    • Good understanding of data center hardware and technology
    • Good understanding of facilities infrastructure
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent team and customer skills
    • PC skills including Microsoft Office
    • Good written and verbal communications
