What you’ll be doing...

  • Provide planning and support for DNS/DHCP and Proxy Auto-configuration (PAC) infrastructure for an Enterprise level company.
  • Build applications and support various operating systems including RedHat and CentOS as well as work on vendor supplied hardened OS equipment.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of creation and support of PAC files in an environment where multiple PAC files will be supported.
  • Support internal and external DNS environments which support 2+ billion DNS queries per day and support DNS for hosts/applications using verizon.com, verizonwireless.com, vzwcorp.com, vzbi.com, verizonbusiness.com, xo.com and many other corporate domains.
  • Support internal DHCP environments providing IP addressing to 100K+ internal systems.
  • Build and maintain PAC files used by hundreds of thousands of internal systems.
  • Manage and maintain an infrastructure consisting of hundreds of applications running various operating systems from different vendors supporting multiple different network services.
  • Work with network planning, implementation and security groups to incorporate new businesses and business units into the infrastructure.
  • Create automation and tools to monitor and prevent issues.
  • Create automation to streamline support and implementation activities.
  • Work with groups across the Enterprise to assist with the planning and implementation of work flows using DNS.
  • Work with network support groups, help desk, command center and end clients to troubleshoot critical issues.
  • Participate in group calls, manage project calls, and read out on status to management teams.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Senior level ability to work with various operating systems including but not limited to RedHat, CentOS.
  • Four or more years of experience scripting and programming for reporting and building automation tools.
  • Proven ability to manage complex multi-organizational projects.
  • High motivation, self-starter approach, and demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under tight time constraints and deliver accurate results.
  • Demonstrable excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to communicate and manage priorities effectively to meet deliverables.
