What you’ll be doing...

This position serves as a key L&D partner to the Verizon Business Group Support L&D team, providing forecasts, prioritization, impacts to all Business Support functions globally. Works with Studio and Delivery team leaders to manage and execute change to meet strategic business needs.You will explore what our people need to learn to be even better. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
  • Looks across all incoming requests for possible content or resource efficiencies and determine ways to reduce duplication of efforts or development while balancing workload effectively based on urgency of initiatives.
  • Consult on major cross-functional projects and timelines to determine resource allocation in alignment with business priorities.
  • Managing projects to create effective learning solutions on time.Maintain the department budget and forecast in alignment with associated projects, including managing contractor spend and allocation of resources.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Providing regular updates to senior leadership on progress and results achieved.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing projects working with cross-functional teams (i.e., inter & intra-departmental), as it relates to functional responsibilities and projects.
  • In-depth understanding of strategic business goals & key drivers; Ability to manage and execute change to meet strategic needs of business
  • Strong analytic, problem solving and decision making skills; Budget & vendor management skills; Strong presentation skills (verbal, written)
  • Ability to build consensus, influence, facilitate various perspectives to a best for business conclusion

  • Expert knowledge of the learning and development discipline, products, and services
  • Consulted with HR professionals and their business clients.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training approaches.
  • Managed projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong influence and persuasion skills
