What you’ll be doing...

You will explore what our people need to learn to be even better. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture. You’ll design learning solutions that are engaging, fun and most importantly build those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the Verizon of the future.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
  • Creating innovative learning solutions for sales, products, customer service, and employee development.
  • Managing projects to create effective learning solutions on time and on budget.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Providing regular updates to senior leadership on progress and results achieved.

***This position supports VCM DSS and must be based in the VCM footprint.***

  • Acting as point of contact for DSS audience learning requirements and guiding the rollout of training.
  • Acting as a trusted partner who is consistently able to recommend and speak confidently about the value learning solutions can bring to the business.
  • Delivering programs across our broad training curriculum including sales, product and systems training.
  • Partnering through extensive interaction with Stakeholders (especially Ops, HR and other L&D functions) to drive increased capabilities and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Conducting field visits to assess learning results and develop improvements in training/learning solutions.
  • Providing results and feedback to upper management and other internal customers. Also providing feedback on participant test scores, overall skill level and areas of opportunity.
  • Seeking innovative solutions and alternative delivery methods and partners with vendors as needed to address needs.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience designing custom learning programs using alternative delivery methods.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Consulted with HR professionals and their business clients.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training approaches.
  • Managed projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Specific to this role, you'll need to have experienceimplementingLearning & Development solutionsfor VCM DSS learner/audiences.
