The Global Real Estate/Global Supply Chain Systems team at Verizon is looking for SMTS-Sys Anly & Prg for the Global Real Estate organization. This position is responsible for developing and supporting GRE Operations through identifying, valuating and prioritizing real estate operation solution innovations and improvements, as well as ensuring their timely execution.

The successful candidate will work as a subject matter expert of Tririga responsible for effectively linking real estate operations strategy to IT and provide technical and solution support to business stakeholders. The successful candidate will also partner with real estate managers and business analysts who provide business requirements and business intelligence for various real estate initiatives. This person will also be responsible for the business and systems support for key real estate systems, including the linkage between multiple 3rd party applications.

This role will require extensive partnering with 3rd party developers, Finance IT as well as a variety of stakeholder groups across VZ including Network Engineering, Finance, Lease Accounting, and all Real Estate Operations groups.

The successful candidate will have extensive real estate operations and systems knowledge and will be the primary interface to 3rd party development providers representing all real estate operation functions.

This position is a strategic role and is the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading the business deployment of real estate operations enabling IT. Responsibilities include project management, process subject matter expertise to implement solutions, data quality management, business acceptance testing, delivery of training programs, and communication of the improvement initiatives.


This position leads, manages, designs and conceptualizes Global Real Estate systems projects. This position has responsibility for multiple strategic projects simultaneously and is responsible for the leadership of end to end deliverables of the projects.

This position has no direct reporting resources but will be responsible for leading members on project teams; therefore, influencing and encouraging others to support projects over and above their BAU tasks is essential.

  • Collaborates with 3rd party development teams and support Tririga production system environment, including surround applications.
  • Engage with IT and/or 3rd party developers on process innovation evolving the current project prioritization process and implementation of real estate information architecture and agile methodology.
  • Act as change agent to foster a high quality culture throughout the organization and drive measurable business process improvements.
  • Completes regular strategic assessment of Verizon’s end-to-end real estate operational and analytical tools, identifying opportunities, disconnects and gaps.
  • Works with all real estate operations functional leads and IT counterparts to set objects for real estate technology improvements in alignment with organizational and business unit strategies and objectives.
  • Responsible for consistently communicating and entrenching the benefits, policies, standards, procedures and framework for a comprehensive and alignment of real estate systems information architecture.
  • Works collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization to determine business process owner and/or subject area ownership, implements data definitions, establishes organizational accountability, establishes policies, standards and procedures with respect to all aspects of real estate systems and establishes quality control metrics and management reporting.
  • Creates cohesive project plans with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages the approved plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters.
  • Business case planning, business and functional requirements analysis, system design and interpretation, testing preparation and execution and implementation oversight.
  • Responsible for influencing peers, subject matter experts and executives withinown organization as well as peers, subject matter experts and executives in other organizations including Finance, Engineering and 3rd party maintenance provider teams.
  • Maintains on-going interaction with client groups and other functional areas relating to objectives, deliverables, resource allocation and related matters within the Global Real Estate Systems and processes.
  • Generate ideas and solutions as well as designs and operationalizes solutions for other's ideas.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of assigned projects on time and within budget.

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Business application support experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • Eight to Ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of real estate operational business processes, sourcing, procurement or supplier management experience.
  • Basic SQL report writing skills.
  • System training and end user testing experience.
  • Strong Access, Visio and Project skills.
  • Ability to present approach, justification and business cases to executive management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong, excellent knowledge of Real Estate systems and best of breed real estate solutions.
  • Experience of various real estate processes/systems preferably in telecom, high tech, or other large scale service industries.
  • Experience on Tririga systems, supporting real estate processes in production including interfacing systems and error analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of Verizon Real Estate processes.
  • Proven Project Management and Process Development expertise.
  • Demonstrated cross functional experience in use of project development life cycles or other structured project management methodologies in customer facing situations.
  • Proven development and delivery of executive communication via Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability at engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Shows initiative, anticipates and prepares for upcoming situations, takes advantage of opportunities, acts quickly and decisively, addresses issues before they become problems.
