What you’ll be doing...

Data drives our business and Analytical tools allow ability to visualize and make sense of its meaning/intent. Having the ability to utilize current tools/applications in use today as well as capability to quickly adapt and learn new as they become the norm will be critical to successfully implementing the needed solutions to assist the Business. Experience in and having ability to utilize the following tools are required (to name some common ones):

  • Sql scriptingto mine data from Tables and to create multi-system joins to grab the data needed for visualization and other analysis.
  • Splunk,Tableau, and Qlik to establish reporting dashboards with multi-dimensional layers for high level summary to detailed widget info.
  • Python & R to overlay into or use standalone for Predictive analysis and other algorithmic assessments
  • Experience usingOracle OBIEE for data analysis is a plus.
  • As new/existing tools evolve over time, ability to quickly adapt and learn is key to long-term solutions.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Business intelligence/visualization software experience.
  • Data mining, preparation and modeling experience.
  • Statistical analysis language experience.
  • Data preparation tool experience.


Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Applied Statistics.
  • Java, Spotfire, OBIEE, SQL Query, and/or Tableau experience.
  • Splunk deployment, custom application development and infrastructure planning experience.
  • Experience with Hadoop cluster utilizing map/reduce including Pig, Hbase, Hive, Spark, Storm, and Scoop.
  • Relational database experience, including Oracle.
  • Worked in a Data Analyst and/or Software Development role.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time
