What you’ll be doing...

The Solution Architect position will support multiple Department of Defense modules (Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and select customers within the intelligence community). Role emphasis will be to meet bookings and revenue targets as defined by quarterly Manage By Objectives (MBO) sales performance goals. Previous employment or customer experience with these customers will strategically position candidate to leverage Verizon’s products to upsell capabilities against sales opportunities in multiple customer enclaves through a variety of contracts (Networx/EIS, WITS, CFSC, GNS, commercial). The fulfillment of this role will involve responsibilities by understanding technical standards (NIST, FedRamp, ISO) to design customer enterprise networks, foster virtualization strategies, promote cloud enablement, position advanced communications, utilize technical knowledge to formulate proposal responses, and secure these network via cybersecurity methodologies. This position requires critical thinking where customer business challenges are effectively turned into real opportunities to satisfy said business requirements orchestrated via Deal Lifecycle Management (DLM) and regular solution/project review sessions. Embracing continual service improvement through personal development enables new technologies to be learned and presented to promote customer and career success. Additionally, this role requires daily technical interaction with sales account representatives and customers to form a partner relationship in supporting Internal & External customers.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Four or more years of equivalent experience in dealing with the United States Federal Government.
  • Ability to be entrepreneur motivated, and demonstrated proven experience in dealing with the select accounts across in the intelligence community.
  • Technical knowledge on traditional private line circuit design (TDM), IP routing, Private IP, solution design and configuration, cloud (AWS, SCI), network/transport technologies (Ethernet, TDM), Software Defined Networking (SDN), IP trunking (VOIP/SIP), unified communications and collaboration, managed services, optical networking (wave/lambda),
  • International expertise, and using Verizon's products to educate and position sales opportunities across the assigned customer accounts.
  • Cisco Certification IE: CCNA and/or CCIE (ports, interfaces, capacity), ONF-Certified SDN Professional Program (OCSP), or a data science certification.
  • Time management, project coordination, internal/external customer presentation, and succinct verbal and written skills.
