What you’ll be doing...

As our Project Manager – Loss Prevention BI – Corporate Security, you will facilitate business intelligence projects associated to the Retail Loss Prevention program across multiple departments, functions and entities inside and outside Verizon. You will proactively engage with other teams to identify and mitigate areas of opportunity creating risk associated to our employees, customer, and our assets. You will be responsible for providing Loss Prevention expertise and managing high impact projects.

  • Manage the Retail Loss Prevention project management function. Interface with teams within Compliance, Corporate Security, and industry / vendor partners who have a direct impact on retail security.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence methods to identify loss trends and develop mitigation processes to reduce future losses.
  • Manage project scopes, which will include involvement in omni channel distribution, inventory management systems, and liaising with multiple internal and external teams and partners.
  • Develop and present information that supports the fact based analysis of issues impacting safety and security for the retail business, its employees and customers.
  • Provide strategic safety and risk mitigation direction based on findings.
  • Conduct executive briefings.
  • Maintain strong knowledge base of the retail organization and strategy.
  • Establish and integrate PMO measures, metrics and portfolio management practices.
  • Manage cross-functional and detailed project plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on process development, mitigation strategy development and implementation, administration and documentation.
  • Seek industry best practices through partnership with ORCA’s, NRF, and LPRC.

    What we’re looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    Even better if you have:

    • A degree.
    • Advanced SQL experience.
    • Ability to analyze data to present logical conclusions.
    • Thorough understanding of loss prevention, retail operations, inventory management, and current loss prevention merchandize security solutions.
    • Ability to resolve conflict and facilitate decision-making.
    • Proven ability to make complex decisions based on experience, analysis and judgment.
    • Ability to be flexible, process-oriented, organized, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Knowledge of other Business Intelligence tools.
    • Knowledge of Link Analysis tools.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel skills.
    • Executive presentation skills.
    • Capability to easily communicate complex business issues; create and maintain executive and employee communication plans.
