What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be evaluating new technologies to ensure they meet customer needs by working closely with our applications development team to conceive the testing strategy, create the master test plan, and resolve a diverse range of complex problems in the most effective way. We want to make it easy for our customers to do business with us and you will play a vital role.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join the Verizon Sales and Service IT Team. This position is to test and certify medium to large sized IVR projects requiring testing skills and application knowledge. With the DevOps direction, all testing scripts are to be automated by utilizing new automation tools.

  • Reviewing technical specifications, participating in design discussions, and leading test plan reviews.
  • Participating in the project design phase, building the testing strategy, creating master test plans, and uploading them to the quality center.
  • Leading test reviews and inspections to find potential defects and work on solutions with the application development team.
  • Assisting with the setup of testing infrastructure and facilities.
  • Automating regression tests using scripting languages, utilities, or other relevant tools.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience to Implement DevOps for IVR suite of applications with respect to continuous validations.
  • Hands on experience using any Automation/performance testing tool preferably Selenium/Cyara/Performance Center.
  • Leading & collaborating with offshore and vendors for delivery.
  • Experience in Production automation testing and ability to automated manual process in non-production.
  • Actively participate in project design phase, suggest business understandings by identifying points of failures in both QA and Production set ups.
  • Leading test reviews and inspections potential defects and work on solutions with the application development team.
  • Collaborating with UAT and interfacing testing teams for best practices.
  • Deep understanding of security risks and ability to think security during all phases of SDLC.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud and NoSQL databases.
  • Quantify the project status/success/acceptance based on Metrics, convert the gains/impacts keeping customer as focal point.
