What you’ll be doing...

The function of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that business strategy and any relevant trends are expressed in the processes and systems of the enterprise. This role is focused on facilitating the conversion of strategies into action by leveraging the appropriate tools and techniques. A primary goal of this role is to facilitate change in a manner that maximizes value and minimizes change "pain." The Enterprise Architect is also responsible for defining the enterprise architecture process and review process, as well as leading the integration of these processes with other related business and IT processes.

  • Meet with the Customer IT Leadership team to review the overall architecture Strategy
  • Provide ongoing design and architectural recommendations including the LAN Transformation
  • Act as a single point of contact to interface with any customer or supplier resource in the design, delivery and implementation of services
  • provide reports and design information to the Director of A&E and customer IT Leadership
  • Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the enterprise architecture
  • Researches overall ICT solutions on the market for technical requirements based on business needs
  • Conducts and actively participates in meetings related to designated projects with customer.
  • Advises and recommends enterprise strategies and methodologies.
  • Recommends and participates in the analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long-term strategic operating plans to ensure that the Enterprise Architect objectives are consistent with the long term business objectives.
  • Collaborates with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine the conformance with the Enterprise Architecture. Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level.
  • Maintains high/low level design and blueprints for the Enterprise Architecture and assures all changes are documented appropriately.

The preferred candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills, work well in a team environment, critical analysis and decision making, creative thinking and problem solving, self development and solid IT user skills.

You'll need to have..

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or six or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant technical experience in the IT field
  • Experience as a Technical Lead for a major technology implementation
  • One or more of the following certifications: CCNE, CCSE and/orCCDE
  • Business Analytical Skills
  • Systems Architecture Design
  • IT/Technology Infrastructure Design and Planning
