What you’ll be doing...

You will lead a studio of instructional designers responsible for the creation of learning solutions that introduce our employees and agents to new products and solutions at launch and help enable the go to market readiness for the enterprise sales through small business sales employees globally. This includes wholesale sales and public sector sales employees, data solutions engineers and architects, as well as sales enablement employees supporting business to business sales. You and your team will design, develop, and curate learning experiences that are engaging, fun and most importantly introduce new and ever advancing products and solutions to our employees and agents. Programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective & in tune with our culture. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders and L&D delivery teams to determine learner needs and the best learning experience across large and diverse employee groups.
  • Leading and coaching your team to create best-in-class learning experiences and deliverables that support the product and solution complexity, business priorities, and go to market timelines.
  • Building learning solutions that are simple to complex and support certifications when and where necessary.
  • Managing team workload, setting priorities, allocating resources, and overcoming challenges to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
  • Providing regular updates to leadership on progress, results achieved, business impacts, and return on investment.
  • Elevating and developing L&D Talent.

You seek feedback input from multiple stakeholders and help your team synthesize the information into concise easy to consume content. You gain satisfaction from managing fast moving high profile projects that have an impact on the business and our employees.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or four or more years of work experience within learning and development practice, enterprise sales and/or technology industries.
  • 4 or more years of Learning & Development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead remote direct reports with minimal management direction and/or supervision and ability to lead project milestones.
  • Strong networking & relationship building skills with employees at all levels of the business including ability to prioritize work and offer choices to key stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal & written skills, including experience providing feedback to others on learning programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and manage changing environments as well as ability to guide employees through the change management process.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the business. Some overnight and weekend/evening travel also required.

Location may be from any Verizon Business Group sales employee location.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s degree. .
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning effectiveness (ROI).
  • Experience in wireless, telecommunications, enterprise solutions, IOT, data, or similar technology fields.
