What you’ll be doing...

Join IT team to develop OSS systems that are part of Verizon’s next generation networks. The system will provide all functions related to processing and providing intelligence to fault data from equipment (physical and virtual) within Verizon’s networks. Advanced capabilities such as data patterning, recognition, trending, filtering, correlating, etc will be applied to massive amounts of network data in a real-time environment to foster capabilities such as network healing and management of Verizon’s networks.

  • Working closely with the network architects and engineering, network operations, equipment vendors, and IT teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Design and develop systems to support network operation.
  • Work with onshore and offshore develop teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Hands on development and coding.
  • Work with QA team and production support team to ensure the system operating at premium condition.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree In Computer Science or related field.
  • At least eight years of experience and played a lead role in developing a large scale industrial system, with a proven record to solving complex problems.
  • A master of algorithms and mathematical and object modelling.
  • Excellent communication skills, a team player.
  • Full Stack Developer
  • Fluent with the following technologies: Java, J2EE, JMS, CORBA, Micro services, RESTFUL API, XML/Jason, AWS, MQ, Web development, relational database, database stored procedures, JQuery.
  • Experience with the following tool set: Maven, GIT, NETBEAN/ECLIPSE, Jenkins, JIRA, DevOps tools
  • Working knowledge on developing and deploying applications into cloud
  • Experience with practicing agile development methodology.

Even better if you have:

  • Master degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with developing Network Fault Management Systems
  • Experience with network technologies and protocols such as Carrier Ethernet, ROADM, NGPON2, SONET and DWDM.
  • Experience with Software defined network, Open Flow and Open Daylight.
  • Experience of interfacing with switches and routers using SNMP, TL1 and CLI.
