What you’ll be doing...

The Fraud Testing Lead is responsible and accountable for the evaluation of planned changes to the Fraud Monitoring System application; coordinate release management for projects being implemented during the planned change periods (Enterprise release, minor releases, change controls). Additionally, this consultant will perform risk reviews, develop test cases and execute user acceptance testing to minimize fraud risks to the business. Collaborate and strategize with other testing teams and business partners to share priorities, test cases, and resources to minimize redundancies and improve UAT (User Acceptance Testing) efficiencies across the organization.

The successful candidate will need to be familiar with Verizon’s control environment, able to quickly analyze and determine root causes, think strategically to implement new methods of detection, development strong visual analytics to monitor alarm health and partner with IT, the business and external partners to continually evolve security and prevention.

  • Responsible for coordinating UAT testing of enterprise applications for all scheduled enterprise releases to test for process weaknesses and control gaps. Assess and mitigates risks introduced during planned releases and control changes by evaluating systems to ensure proper internal controls are functioning as intended.
  • Lead cross-functional business teams to drive enhancements that improve the control environment and lead other special projects as assigned.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and business leaders nationally to design system enhancements and troubleshoot technical issues that involve the prevention, detection and response to control related risks and deficiencies.
  • Leverage professional expertise and judgment to evaluate, develop, test and approve proposed enhancements for the assigned VZ systems, ensuring proper functionality and controls.
  • Use system experience and channel background to develop and execute test cases to identify control gaps and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate and strategize with other UAT testers in the business to share priorities, test cases and resources to minimize redundancies and improve UAT efficiencies throughout the organization.
  • Communicate results by developing presentations and communications that clearly communicates trends and gaps in the context of system testing process.
  • Leverage strong business acumen, presentation and communication skills to create and present information in a relevant, consumable, meaningful, and insightful ways.
  • Support a 24/7 Fraud Operations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Business, Finance or related field; or relevant experience.
  • Two or more years’ experience testing applications (e.g. Point of Sale, Billing, Front-ends, etc.), with a concentration in operations, Compliance, business controls, audit, or Finance or two or more years of hands on experience using systems applicable to the channel supported.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile and SQA methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing current business and system processes for potential areas of improvement, writing test scenarios and coordinating with business and technology partners regarding feedback and sign-off.
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification preferred
  • CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Ability to plan for and manage numerous processes and ad hoc requests simultaneously, effectively prioritize tasks and meet customer requirements for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Experience evaluating system process flows, interpreting technical documents, developing test cases that test control environment and executing effective testing within tight timeframes.
  • Experience leveraging auditing principles and methods to evaluate policies, processes and systems to identify business risks and control gaps.
  • Strong Project Management experience with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently leveraging excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs.
  • Experience providing business-related/and or technical subject matter expertise on large, highly complex reporting projects and business analytics to support management, multifunctional departments, staff members, and peers.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel for analytics and Google Suite for presentation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive tasks and adapt quickly to last minute changes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently leveraging organization and time-management skills.
  • Telecommunications experience.
  • Fraud experience.
  • Knowledge of Verizon directional systems, customer and credit verification functions.
