What you’ll be doing...

The Common Language Team is seeking a talented technical supervisor to supervise an associate team and to provide key CLLINET system and process expertise supporting both the buildout of the new intelligent 5G network and the existing extensive legacy network.

As a Common Language Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for support of Network Engineering, Operations, Network Assignment, Finance, Supply chain, regulatory and industry standard technical groups and organizations.

Supervision role:

  • Support collective bargaining agreement.
  • Support associate productivity metrics.
  • Support and resolve all system fallout, resolve end-user issues.

Technical System and Process role:

  • You will support the build of the new iEN (intelligent Network) & the rollout of One Fiber and the support of the new 5G Network & the new small cell locations.
  • You will collaborate with multiple Engineering, Process & IT teams to migrate from existing Common Language products to a true Code Center Master data concept.
  • You will support decommissioning of the legacy network, and provide analytical & mechanized solutions to facilitate mass update/deletion of these locations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and organizational budgets.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, or engineering.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Operations experience.
  • Technical knowledge of network equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols (MPLS, LDP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF) tools. Experience with Verizon internal systems (i.e. Espresso, ETMS, vRepair, BAAIS National, Smarts, OASIS, MASTARS, F & E, Netpro, MECCA, TCOMS, Lotus Notes).
  • Experience managing complex processes and driving results.
  • Strong knowledge of union contract and dealing with union employees.
  • Strong knowledge of Verizon Network Equipment deployment for both legacy and the rollout of new intelligent 5G/1Fiber.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experiencing driving automation initiatives and process improvements.
